The cornerstone for Avobis was laid with the founding of Rodrigo & Abegg AG; over the following decades, the units have successfully established themselves as independent service providers.

Rodrigo & Abegg AG and Credit Suisse found Yourhome, Switzerland’s first real estate platform.

With Kreditanstalt für Hypotheken AG, a company was founded that was explicitly dedicated to handling capital asset transfer solutions.

Hypotheken Servicing Schweiz AG became a specialized mortgage processing company.

Hypotheken Servicing Schweiz AG is implementing the largest mortgage outsourcing project in Switzerland.

Hypotheken Servicing Schweiz AG and Rodrigo & Abegg Immobilien AG are merged to form Avobis Group AG. In addition, Immo Page AG, a specialist in transactions and financing of owner-occupied homes, is integrated into the group.

With the acquisition of Hypothekenbörse AG 2017, the Avobis Group acquired a broker and a mortgage manager with a business volume of more than CHF 3 billion.

Together with Hypothekarbank Lenzburg and building insurance Bern, Avobis founds the investment company Swiss Innovation Lab (today Constructive Venture Fund), develops Loanone, a software solution for the digital handling of the entire mortgage process, and acquires FixLend AG and ascarix AG (today ImmoSparrow) in the same year.

Avobis receives FINMA authorisation as a manager of collective assets, paving the way for the launch of its own investment products. In the same year, Avobis takes over the financing boutique pro ressource AG.

With the acquisition of VERIT Immobilien AG, Rimaplan AG and Centerio AG, Avobis completes its range of services along the real estate life cycle and grows to 350 employees. In the same year, Avobis launches the property matching platform Property Captain.

With the acquisition of mortgage servicer Kreditfabrik SA, Avobis 2022 is further expanding its position as Switzerland’s leading mortgage servicer.

Avobis is realigning itself and focussing on its core business. The Group companies Centerio, Rimaplan and VERIT Immobilien are sold to a group of investors led by Andrin Waldburger and continue to operate as independent companies. Andrin Waldburger also takes over the chairmanship from company founder Thomas Abegg.
