An existing building has a substantial utilisation reserve that is to be realised. Due to the renovation in 2003, a redensification with intervention in the building fabric is currently out of the question. The plan is to erect an additional building in modular timber construction. The additional building block will be located on the underground car park of the existing development and will consist of four identical units with a total of eight flats.
The new building keeps a respectful distance to the existing building due to its precise placement. The units are accessed via the newly created, high-quality inner courtyard. The densification at a central location, energy from renewable sources and the timber construction take into account the idea of sustainability.
